Made to support easy and long runs in warm to hot conditions, this innovative prototype vest is designed for middle- and long-distance runners training through the height of summer—where breathability matters more than weight, and coverage matters just as much as airflow. Whether you're pacing through dry heat, moving through stale air, or running under the midday sun, it’s built to help you stay cooler, longer.

Tested in conditions ranging from 20°C to 41°C¹, it performs across a range of environments: sunny or overcast, dry or humid, breezy or still. Its breathing-focused structure is optimised for low to moderate intensity training runs—where cooling efficiency counts, but output stays controlled. It’s not designed for threshold runs, intervals, races or other high-tempo efforts.

The 152gsm fabric features a unique dual-structure design: a supportive 0.45mm thick core layer provides shape retention and structure, while an integrated 0.14mm micro-thin vent-knit system promotes airflow across the entire vest. Though relatively heavy by our standards at 74 grams dry, 182 grams damp, and 220 grams wet2, this trade-off enables superior ventilation without clinging or revealing too much when soaked with sweat.

A 4-way stretch knit allows for natural movement, while heat-bonded hems and seams reduce bulk and friction.

Tailored in a custom turquoise tone (CIELAB 73.64, -31.83, 3.73) and QC-verified to under 2% deviation, the vest balances visibility with non-transparency—even when drenched. Light-reflective HTV labels on the front and back add visibility for early morning or late-evening road efforts.

The Harāra Prototype #003.1 vest is built to keep you covered, cool, and comfortable across long summer sessions.

No vent hole gimmicks. No afterthoughts. Just airflow, structure, and purpose.

How to measure yourself

We recommend to measure one of your existing running vests and compare based on the chart above.

Use a flexible tape measure and measure the circumference on the level of your hip bone (greater trochanter). Stand with your feet together, feel your hip bone and place the tape measure at the top. Keep the tape parallel to the ground, and ensure it is snug but not constricting.

(1) Lay Flat: Place your running singlet flat on a hard surface, smoothing out wrinkles.

(2) Length: Measure from the top of the shoulder to the bottom hem. Compare this to Dimension A in the chart above.

(3) Width: Measure across the chest from armpit to armpit. Compare this to Dimension A in the chart above.

Alternatively, measure the following:
(1) Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, typically just under the armpits, keeping the tape measure horizontal and snug but not tight. Compare this in the chart below.

(2) Waist (Natural Waistline): Measure around your natural waistline, usually just above the belly button, keeping the tape level and comfortable. Compare this in the chart below.

(3) Hips: If you like the vest to sit at mid-glute level (middle of the buttocks) as intended, measure the circumference of your full hips on the widest point of your hips/buttocks. This is often below the hip bones, around the fullest part of the seat. Alternatively, if you prefer your shirts to sit on the hips, then measure the circumference on the level of your hip bone (greater trochanter).

(3) Length:
Measure from the highest point of your shoulder down to where you want the hem to fall (ideally, between your hip bone and mid-glute).
